Law Insider, the world’s largest public contract database, has acquired oneNDA, a pioneer in contract standards, specifically for Non-Disclosure Agreements (NDAs). As part of the deal, Electra Japonas, co-founder of oneNDA and the TLB group, will join Law Insider as its first Chief Legal Officer. This acquisition will make the oneNDA.org standards library, including oneNDA, oneNDA Playbook, oneNDA M&A, and oneDPA, and their corresponding translations, available for free to Law Insider’s 3 million registered users and 10,000 paying subscribers. The goal of this acquisition is to build on the success of oneNDA and launch Law Insider Standards later this year, which will be a comprehensive contract standards and playbook library offered for free to registered users and will include the oneNDA standards and playbooks. To promote the adoption of oneNDA and Law Insider Standards, Law Insider will offer an automated version of all standard contracts, allowing adopters to create, send, and eSign the standards for free. Additionally, all standard playbooks will be available through an AI-powered Word Add-In, providing instant redlining suggestions and comments. Electra Japonas, co-founder of oneNDA, stated that this partnership with Law Insider will allow their existing contract standards to reach a larger global audience and expand the library to include other frequently used contracts. Preston Clark, President and co-founder of Law Insider, added that their vision has always been to be the leading global database for contract templates and clauses, and this partnership with oneNDA is a perfect complement to this next chapter for Law Insider. This acquisition brings together two leading legal innovators and promises great things for the future.
